Back to Martinique in May. Back from hiking around the wild coast of the Atlantic ocean, we drive to the town of Sainte-Marie. From the center of the town, some lucky ones may be able to walk upon the seas to reach a small island. For sure this is our dream but we cannot do it this time. In fact, this is not the appropriate season to do it… Well… since we are here… let us stay and take a picture… That one >>>

<<< Retour en Martinique… Après une randonnée sur la côte Nord-Atlantique, nous nous dirigeons vers la commune de Sainte-Marie. Celle-ci est notamment connue pour son îlet, accessible depuis le centre de la commune via un banc de sable appelé Tombolo. Marcher entre les deux mers et atteindre l’îlet est notre rêve, mais cela ne sera pas pour cette fois; à moins de finir à la nage… En fait, ce n’est possible que durant très peu de moments de l’année. Puisque nous sommes là, profitons-en pour prendre quelques photos, comme celle juste au-dessus.

Then I added a ND-8 filter in front of my lens and I got that one. >>>

Ensuite j’ai ajouté un filtre ND-8 devant mon objectif pour obtenir cette image. >>>

Then I added another filter that enabled me to darker the sky and I got this other picture. >>>

Ensuite j’ai ajouté un autre filtre qui permet d’assombrir encore plus le ciel et j’ai obtenu cette nouvelle image. >>>

Then I walked across the algaes until reaching the seas and I shot. Paying attention at the same time at the seas, the algaes, the wind, the sky (cloudy or not – changing within few seconds). My foot were in the water, my tripod was in the water, my camera with all its equipment was just few centimeters above the water. And I got those images. >>>

Ensuite j’ai suivi le chemin qui s’ouvrait devant moi, je me suis dirigée vers l’îlet jusqu’à atteindre les deux mers. J’ai posé mon trépied et j’ai pris mes photos. Il a fallu faire attention aux vagues, aux algues, au vent, au ciel (très changeant en quelque secondes). Mes pieds étant dans l’eau, mon trépied était dans l’eau, mon appareil avec tous ses accessoires à quelques centimètres au-dessus de l’eau. J’ai réalisé ces photos. >>>
